Avant Assessment, previously Language Learning Solutions, was formed in 2001 through an innovative partnership with the Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) at the University of Oregon. The company was launched as a technology-transfer company to market, deliver and support the proficiency-based assessment and instructional tools developed at CASLS with grant funding. While Avant Assessment now develops its own assessment and instructional support tools, the relationship with CASLS continues as a key partner in that development.

Avant Assessment also partners with dozens of educational organizations to deliver and continually improve STAMP and ClassPak, and with a variety of strategic business partners to develop and deliver language proficiency tools to critical areas of our world including healthcare and government services.
