What Is This Tool For?

Avant allows you to download a PDF with multiple individual reports (see below).

Many schools simply print out the reports and hand them out to their students.

However, some schools prefer to digitally distribute these PDFs directly to their students. Based on your feedback we developed this PDF splitting tool that automatically breaks apart grouped reports and renames them based on the test taker’s name (i.e. “Joe-Brown.pdf“, “Jane-Smith.pdf“, etc.)

How To Use This Tool

  1. Type the name of your school (as shown in the report below the student’s name).
  2. Import your PDF file with multiple STAMP reports.
  3. Click “Preview File Names” (make sure everything looks correct).
  4. Click “Download PDFs“.

If you see a prompt asking for permission to download multiple files, press “Allow”.

Pro Speed Tip

This tools can split and rename 20 files in under 3 seconds!

However, there are a couple of things that could slow you down.

Use “Download to Default Folder”

By default most browsers will automatically download all files into your “downloads” folder, which is exactly what you want here.

If you changed the setting in your browser to ask where to save each file before downloading, this will force you to click save for each individual file, which will take longer. We recommend having everything download to a default folder and then move the files to another folder after they’ve finished downloading. This is much faster and will save you a lot of time!

How Does It Work?

This is a client-side web app, which means your PDFs are split and renamed locally on your computer without the need to upload anything to third-party servers. This makes the process both fast and secure.

Why do I need to type my school name? Your school name creates a reference point which allows to tool to find the student’s name within the document. This is essential for automatically renaming the files.
