Avant STAMP Overview
Avant STAMP for Latin is a nationally recognized web-based test that assesses language proficiency. It has 1 section: Czytanie.
Each test taker should read through the Przewodnik dla Osoby Przystępującej do Testu.

How the Test Works
Czytanie questions are multiple-choice and are scored automatically. The test is computer-adaptive which means it will get easier or harder based on the test taker’s responses, using authentic Classical Latin texts.
Test Rules
Tests are taken in a proctored environment with no outside resources allowed.
- Nie klikaj poza oknem testu. To jest śledzone i spowoduje wylogowanie z testu.
- Nie korzystaj z żadnych materiałów pomocniczych (np. słowników, podręczników, telefonów komórkowych, aplikacji, narzędzi do komunikacji, czy pomocy tłumaczeniowych takich jak Google Translate).
- Nie rób notatek (na papierze lub elektronicznych). Papier, długopisy, ołówki, rysiki itp. są niedozwolone.
- Nie czytaj/korzystaj z żadnych notatek czy materiałów pomocniczych podczas udzielania odpowiedzi mówionych/wyrażania swoich myśli.
- Nie komunikuj się z nikim, z wyjątkiem nadzorcy podczas testu.
- Nie udostępniaj pytań testowych ani poleceń. Nie kopiuj, nie drukuj ani nie robią zrzutów ekranu z testu.
- Nie używaj przemocowego, wulgarnego lub niewłaściwego języka w swoich odpowiedziach.
Preparing for the Test
Avant STAMP is a proficiency test of what the test taker can do with the language at this point in time. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers, simply a demonstration of their skills.

Shows what the test will look like and gives examples of Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced questions. It does not show the computer-adaptive nature of the test and will not give a score at the end.

This guide helps to understand how the test is scored and provides question topics that might be used at each level in the Reading section.
Assessment Results
After scoring is completed, results will be provided to the school or organization administering the test.
The report shows how your student performed on the Reading section and gives an overall score.

Understanding the Scores
The Individual Report shows the score earned on the Reading section.
Score Pyramid
An inverted pyramid graphic displays the score. The filled section shows the level reached.
Skill Description
Next to the pyramid, you’ll see a description of the Reading skill and the level category (Novice, Intermediate, Advanced).
- If the test wasn’t finished, this area will instead show the status: Not Started or In Progress.
Power Up Suggestions
On the far right, the report lists Power Up Suggestions—practical tips the student can use to improve and reach higher scores on the Reading section.
